[Doll is in her apartment, setting out some Christmas treats, some that she tried making herself and others that she bought. She's still in her usual boyish clothes but they're new for once instead of the patched and darned ones she usually wears otherwise.

Tiger's at her heels, barking, and she crouches next to him to give him a cookie to eat.]

Don' usually get t'do anythin' like this at 'ome, y'know. But you'll like t'see all our friends an' get t'play a bit, won't ya?

[Cookie already eaten, Tiger just barks again and licks at her hand, and she laughs and pets him.]

[Allen nodded to Doll's first two points of conversation. Then, looking to the table, and seeing food...oh, yummy-looking food...he immediately began walking to the table.]

[Tiger followed him to the table in hope of being fed as well while Doll disappeared into the kitchen, calling out behind her.]

D'you like tea?

[Allen did indeed help himself, fixing him plates...upon plates...upon plates...of food. He was in the presence of someone though, so he tried to eat neatly...but that wasn't to say he wasn't eating at 100mph.]

Tea? [nomnom] Yes, please!

[She came back with a teapot and a couple of mugs in her hands, but couldn't help stopping and staring at him eat before she set them down on the table.]

Blimey, 'aven't you 'ad anythin' to eat since ya got 'ere?

[Allen froze.]

Um. Heh...Sorry...I'm just. A heavy eater...Also, I can't cook and neither can my roommate, so there hasn't been too much to eat...

Oh, no, s'fine! 'm glad t'see you're enjoyin' it. Just thought you were 'alf starved or somethin'...

[She took a seat at the table as well, pushing a couple more plates over in his direction. She knew too well what it was like to go hungry.]

Ya know, can teach you t'cook if ya like. Nothin' fancy, but enough t'get by?

[His eyes light up as more food is pushed towards him as he finishes off others, and he goes right for it. Sorry, Doll, Allen's got an unreal appetite.]

Sure, s'nothin'!

[She hides a smile to see him enjoying the food so much, pouring out the tea for both of them and taking a mince pie for herself, picking off pieces of the crust to feed to Tiger.]

How've you been findin' it 'ere so far?

[Finally taking a moment to breath, Allen holds up his cup of tea and takes a sip.]

It's okay...So far it's peaceful not worrying about a war at home...but I know that there are some dangerous people here, too...

Yeah...[Looking thoughtful.] There've been murders 'ere sometimes, an' some of the curses 'ave been awful.

But there's lots of good people 'ere too. More'n at 'ome, I think.
