Well...this is some way to celebrate bein' 'ere for a whole year. Can't believe it's been that long, even if it seems longer sometimes.

[She's sitting on a sofa with Tiger on her lap, trying to keep him from licking at the device and sounding a little bit bitter, unusually enough for her.] Shh, 's alright, boy.

Still can't understand what's 'appenin' exactly out there. Don't 'ave any intention of lookin' either. 's just safer, stayin' in until it's over when a curse is like this, an' 'opin' it can't get in at ya.

Everyone I know is somewhere safe, yeah? 'xcept Anna...she didn't deserve to be sent back to all that.

..Is this the sort of thing you're supposed to celebrate? It's technically an anniversary, but... Well, stay inside anyway. These things are spreading some kind of virus.

Celebratin' is better'n cryin' over it. A year 'ere an' I'm still alive an' mostly alright. But yeah, I ain't steppin' outside 'til it's over.

Would 'ave. Used to meet up a lot. ...guess I should be used to people leavin' by now, but I ain't, not really. An' knowin' what it was like for 'er back 'ome...

She's a strong woman. She'll be okay. For awhile. And who knows? Maybe she'll come back before everything gets really rough.

It is a little messed up, isn't it? But in some ways, this place is better. I got a chance to be something of a friend with Anna. I never would've been able to do that back home.

[Penny is actually home, which consequently means that the duck and six sheep are also in the apartment and not hanging out at the Center. The sheep, fortunately, are still normal. This isn't keeping them from nibbling on the odd bedsheet, but they're not trying to eat anyone. Penny also happens to be camped out by the window, holding her tranquilizer gun like a security blanket (although she has had the gun since Christmas, it doesn't make many appearances; the killer sheep, however, seem to warrant it).]

They're not even trying to get in. I don't get it.

That's good--I'm not complaining. But it's strange. ...Maybe the City's giving you a break on your anniversary?

Don' worry, 'm bein' careful! An' Penny's got a whole flock of 'em, so you can meet 'em later on, alright?

...well, yeah, guess so. But I'll get the cake. Maybe I'll get Penny to 'elp me make one.

It is...even with what 'appens 'ere, think my family'd be better off 'ere than back 'ome too. But I'm glad you got to spend time with Anna like that. She's a good person.

[After leaving her post on the Network, Doll joins Penny near the window, peering outside.]

Really is weird...an' I don't think it's that.

[pulling Tiger away from the window before he gets a chance to jump up and start barking.]

[She leaves the window. There's not much to see--nothing that she cares to see, anyway.]

Then what is it? The other sheep, maybe?

[Doll sets Tiger down, looking a little bit anxiously at one of the sheep taste-testing a tablecloth.]

[The sheep doesn't seem anxious in the least. In fact, the sheep seems to approve of the tablecloth.]

At least we're safe... [Another glance out the window, just to make sure no killer flocks decided to show.] For now, I mean. I hope everyone else is, too.

Yeah, we should be. Aaaah, don't! [saving a vase from being thrown to the floor as the sheep claims the tablecloth as its own.]

I think most people I know are safe. At least...at least this sort of thing don't 'appen too often. [...and she might just be scooping up Tiger and clinging to Penny for a hug.]
