14 tightropes walked - accidental video/action

Beast...Joker!?

[Doll is making her way through the crowds, being pushed and shoved around easily considering her small stature.]

Are any of you 'ere? [jostled again] 'scuse me.

Dagger? Jumbo?! [craning her neck, trying to see over the other people as she continues calling out her siblings' names in the hopes at least one of them will be there and hear her. She looks pretty tired, considering she spent much of the previous day looking for them as well]

If only I could see t'least one of 'em for a few minutes, t'know they're alright. [spoken to herself, low but not low enough for the device she doesn't know is recording not to capture it.]

((ooc: open for fourth walling! Network or action (just...don't hurt her |D). Anything goes, just no spoiling her past the point she's from i.e. chapter 28.))

That it is~ That it is...

... My lady, you said earlier that most of your family was here today... ah, may I ask, in that case, if any of them are here with you or just temporary visitors like myself?

Knowing that someone is waiting for you is the greatest comfort a human being can ever know, lady Doll. Take it from someone who has kept a friend of his waiting for a... very long time, now. No matter how bad it gets, and no matter how much it hurts not being with them... it will all be worth it when you reunite once more.

Always a good thing to keep a steady course~ both on a ship, and in here...

[He pauses momentarily, as he realizes that pointing to his own ribcage may not be the best way: after all-]

... Is what I would be saying if I still had a heart! YOOHOHOHOHO!

[identity profile] moveurdeadfros.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yoohohoho, how fortunate then that we are of the same opinion~! It would hardly do to get into debates when I have barely been here less than a day!

I would hardly be a gentleman if I did not do my best to get along with the people around me~. I prefer to make friendly acquaintances to enemies where I go since living on the outskirts of society only makes it even more necessary to be friendly to those in the same boat as you, so to speak.

Mmm... I suppose that is one thing these strange places have going for them. There is seldom, at least in my own 'home away from home' any dangers or factors pitting people against one another. For beong so strange, they can often be strangely peaceful... mostly.

... Curses? I think that I heard something of them from last time, but... I am afraid I cannot recall what it was...

((OOC: It's okay, I am nothing if not used to epic backdating!))

... I see. Much like the effects and events of the camp I am a prisoner of, then.

[identity profile] moveurdeadfros.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
In a manner of speaking then, yes. They do.

In our camp, the power of the camp can alter an individuals mental and physical age and body at will to produce, well, largely random and nonsensical results. One can be turned into an animal or even a plant at any moment, but such things are often rather harmless...

Worse than those by far, are the "Wolf games".

[identity profile] moveurdeadfros.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I did at one point turn into a knife-rack... I suppose it is not surprising that more worlds than one would have similar effects.

Which you are correct to do, my lady. Fifteen... sometimes more, are randomly chosen. A few are picked to be 'wolves', and others are sheep. Every day that the game is active, the wolves must attempt to, with guile and cunning, to vote out one of the sheep and the sheep must attempt to find out who among them are wolves and vote them out. And at the end of the day... the one who was voted on will be killed. And withdrawn from the game.

Because they are brought to a subdimension within camp, a form of 'world within the world', and unless they do not play by the rules of the game they are not allowed to go back.

Of course, all who 'die' are resurrected at the end of the game. The first time it happened it was simply their minds who died, and the bodies of the losers fell into a coma. But recently the game happened again, and this time... those who died were killed.

... Have you ever met a person, that have done something so offensive and vile, that you could never find it in your heart to forgive them?
